I eat there with mate. After a certain hour they go to the bites
Bad attention, the waiters are in babia
I agree with Guille, the very good dishes but it is important to go early ...
I have been a client for many years ... but it has been a long time since the quality of care and food went down a lot. I can no longer recommend it! A pity ...
Here are questions not opinions. You are welcome.
No, you have to go early
They accept cards
Menu well varied.
Great empanadas at a reasonable price.
Great food! Best empanadas I've ever had. The Argentine casserole(dont remember the proper Argentine name for it) is the best! Friendly staff, but takes some time for food to come by. Cash only!
The casseroles are the reason to go for a good hearty lunch.
This place specialized in empanada. We tried a variety and they were all delicious. And totally inexpensive.
The empanadas here can't be described in words. Just try them!
Simple but nice decor, good value for money. I recommend this restaurant especially for their casuelas!
Such a great place! Food is amazing and has all local favors! They do not accept cards, so ensure you have some cash before coming in!
Nice atmosphere at the night. Tasty food. Great prices. Can recommend.
We went here for the Yerba Mate tea, and ended up eating here too. The chicken was actually delicious and we ended up liking the place more due to it's food than we originally thought!
Very good and cheap food. The spinach cannelloni is amazing.
Hearty, country-style Argentinean food, but typically slow service at reasonable prices (cash only).
The food was quite good, but the experience with the rude serving staff was nearly irreconcilable. Horrible first impression.
Sad to say that we had to walk out of this place. We came in, and stood for a while before someone motioned us to sit down, and not in a nice way either. We sat down and this waiter or cook, did not even come to greet us. Then we waited for the menu while the staff were focused on their cell phone. No one came to our table, so we finally walked out. The bad part is that we are staying across the street and I will not set foot in this place again.
It was okay. I didn't think the food was anything special. The ambiance was really cool and the servers were super patient and helpful. We appreciated the English menus. We also appreciated the fact that they took US Dollars(not less than $20). It would've been even better if they took credit cards. According to my friend that ordered gnocchi she said it tasted like Spaghetti-Os. Dinner prices were not that good, would have to see the lunch prices to see if it was worth it.
Wonderful food. Nice and quiet in mid afternoon. Visited twice and would have gone back if we had time.
Lovely hearty north argentinian food, excellent empanadas and meat. They even let us bring the bikes in to keep em safe. We had a great time! Thank you!
Do not accept credit or debit card.
We only had about 500 pesos left after a bit of shopping, so we were a bit nervous about what we’d be able to get for lunch here. We shared a liter of beer, a locro, a humita, and three empanadas, and still had plenty of cash left over for a tip.Aside from how incredibly affordable this place is, the food was delicious and high-quality. You can tell it’s made with care. The restaurant is cute and cozy (love the crayons at every table), and the staff is friendly.
Ordered pizza. Maybe the other things are better given the reviews. Just ok and mediocre service.
The locro is highly recommended.
Prices are good, food is tasty, fresh and you have a lot of variety! Lost the pics I took but I'll be back to take pictures! The only thing is that the place is very dark, but I have to admit it gives a little bit of fun! This place is awesome to go with friends!
Fun empanada place, lots of variety. Ambiance is dark and tight quarters
Excellent relation between price-quality-quantity
Wonderful, loud, fun spot. Open to the street, crammed tables, air conditioning working overtime. Great empanadas, pizza, cazuela, antipasto platters. Full wine list. Attentive staff kept filling our table with food/drink. Walk out with change in your pocket.
Great place to eat with cheap menu in a great neighborhood! Staff was really nice!
Horrible service. The "batata with honey" tasted very bad with old walnuts. Then they messed up the order 3 times and didn't even say they were sorry or offer compensation. We all had to eat at different times. I dont recommend it, very bad customer experience.
A beautiful, yet unassuming establishment slap bang on a busy street and yet a beautiful and peaceful sanctuary. The decor is simple, yet effective. I stumbled into this quite by accident. The waiter didn’t speak English but was very helpful in indicating what I should try. He recommended the locro, a stew made of white beans, pork, beef and chorizo with a mild spice. The dish arrived in all its understated glory. The first mouthful had me hooked. A porky, meaty and gently spiced bowl of thick and rich goodness! The meat was slowly cooked so it simply melted in my mouth. Served with thick, crusty bread with lashings of butter, this dish is sublime. At 130 pesos (about NZ$11.00) you really can’t miss this delicious bowl of heaven.
Come to enjoy the ‘Yerba Mate’ experience!! I found this place through a post about places where you could enjoy mate (strong bitter tea) in Buenos Aires; They serve it from 4 - 7 pm which is the social hour after office hours... the waitress explained how to properly drink it and brought additional cookies, toast and jam to accompany it. We also ordered additional Argentinian dishes like empanadas and those were delicious!!
Exquisite
Really nice atmosphere and selection of different kind of argentine foods.
Great first time experience drinking Mate!
We had empanadas for takeout and they are some of the best empanadas we have had in the city.
Great food, great prices, great atmosphere. Love the milanesa!
Cheap, tasty, plentiful. A classic for a reason.
Great place, tasty food and good prices. It doesn't have an extensive menu though, few options.
Friendly staff, prompt service. The English menu really helped. Eggplant casserole and empanadas were yum
Best empanadas I've had.... Try the spicy Lomo and provolone with tomato and oregano. Enjoy!!!
Service was great and AMAZING pizza!
Great prices, excellent food. Empanadas were delicious and the cheese spinach canalone was out of this world.Fabulous restaurant to return to again and again. Practical tip: restaurant accepts cash only (no credit cards)
Great food for great value and nice ambience
Great service and the best pizza I've had in Argentina.
Nice place! They have crayons on the table so you can have your fun drawing stuff while you wait for your meal (or during it if you feel like it). The food is excellent.
Great place, great attention, GREAT PIZZA, great prices. There is only one thing to complain about, and it's that the place gets seriously crowded... But that's part of the bargain with a place this compelling.Seriously, you won't regret having dinner here. This place is awesome.
Empanadas are great! Great selection. Steak and the spicy loin are my favorites. Their soup are very tasty as well. Beef and peach soup and good. Tripe soup is not bad as well.. good for a cold night
Great typical food in a cozy settling.
Excellent lunch spot that is affordable and offers a variety of options. i had a cazuela with pumpkin and meat and it was a perfect portion size, very tasty and hot. My husband had a milanesa and honestly it was the best one he had here yet. The only reason i don't give it 5 stars is because it's pretty cramped so that's a bit uncomfortable
Romantic atmosphere at night! The local regional food is served and they have also some pizzas and empanadas. It’s a pretty economic place to eat but most of time they only accept cash.
Was seated but after 5 minutes no waiter! Everyone of them looked at me and walked by. I'm a big tipper because I started my working career as a busboy and waiter. They lost out on a big tip. Went accross the street for falafel and tipped them well. Great food across the street!
It's really a good place where we can have local Argentine food. I suggest people to visit it to experience the taste and traditional food of Argentina.
Nice and cozy. I liked the “locro” soup!
